Hello Everyone,

I thought I had posted since we were in Rapid City, but if so it did not get
posted to the site. I preached in Rapid City 9-19-11 and then Monday
morning we headed to Plano, IL. We were able to park in the driveway of Loy
and Diane Fulfer's house. Loy preaches in Minooka where I participated in a
different speaker meeting Sept 21-25. I spoke Wednesday evening and then
Sunday morning and evening. On Tuesday we drove to Pekin, IL and I preached
for the church there in Pekin Wednesday evening. Thursday morning we left
Pekin on our way to Holly Springs, MS. We parked at Wall Doxey State Park
just south of Holly Springs and attended and helped with the meeting at Laws
Hill, MS. Bobby Holmes preached in this meeting. He has preached in a
meeting at this small church for the last 24 years. He will be 82 years
young in March and his health is not good, so he told them this would be his
last year to come and work with them. During the meeting I recorded the
lessons each night and made audio cd's for those who requested them. As it
stands now, I will be preaching for this church in their meeting next year
the first week in October. We enjoyed very much being with these few
brethren at Laws Hill, we have known the folks there for many years. In
fact I was a part of the "crew" of brethren that put an addition on their
building so they could have restrooms and a nursery somewhere in the
neighborhood of twenty years ago. We are now parked at brother Eddie Wiggs place just a few miles from
Houston, MS. We will worship with the church in Thorn Sunday morning and
with the North Jackson church in Houston Sunday evening. Brother Holmes is
preaching in a meeting at the Southside church in Houston and we will be
able to make the Sunday evening services there as well as Monday evening.
We then plan to attend a meeting Tuesday evening in Buckhorn, MS. and then
be with the Northeast church in Tupelo Wednesday evening. We will leave
Tupelo Thursday Oct 13 on our way to Athens, GA. I will be preaching in a
meeting with the Oglethorpe Ave church there Oct 16-19. After the meeting
there we will be headed home to Florence, AL to begin preparation for
another trip next year. While in Florence, I will be doing some "fill in"
preaching in the area.

This has been a great year with very little mechanical problems with the RV
so far. We have enjoyed being with eighteen different churches so far this
year. Some of these I just preached on Sunday(s) or Wednesday(s), but I
preached meetings for nine of the eighteen and have one meeting to go. I
certainly pray that good has been accomplished and no harm at all. There
were two restored during this preaching tour. I will do a detailed report
on all of the work we have been involved in after we get back home. So, so
long for now.

Hello All,

We are now in Rapid City, SD. We arrived here Thursday afternoon, both of
us very tired. I fought the wind all the way from Sheridan, WY to Rapid
City and on the way remembered I was supposed to have had the oil changed in
the Motor Home before we left Sheridan. So, I went on-line and found a
place in Rapid City to get the oil changed before we set up in the RV park.
We just rested last evening and went to bed early. We will visit with the
Allens (Sam and Donna) at lunch today and do some necessary shopping.

The work in Ranchester continues to struggle just to maintain the
"status-quo". The family that I mentioned that came to the meeting in the
Spring are still attending some, the wife more than the husband. Also their
daughter is now living with them and attended with her mother (the husband
was Elk hunting) the Sunday I was there (Sept 4th) and the husband and wife
along with their daughter attended one night of the meeting in Sheridan.
There is some interest there, but they are very weak spiritually.

We had a good meeting in Sheridan, WY. We had visitors at every service. A
lady from the liberal church attended every night but Wednesday night. Also
the mother and sister (who are not members of the church) of one of the
members attended the last two nights of the meeting. Bob Reich and his
family from Ranchester attended two nights and the couple I mentioned above
attended Tuesday night. The man that I had a discussion with during the
meeting in Ranchester in the Spring even attended one night. He has his one
small group that meets in Sheridan. He doesn't agree with all that the
liberals are doing and neither does he agree with sound brethren because
they won't "eat in the building". He is a very radical and contentious
individual, but he said I didn't preach anything he didn't agree with (the
lesson was about the disobedient prophet in 1Kings 13). We enjoyed the hospitality of the brethren in both Ranchester and in
Sheridan. The Beef steaks in Ranchester and the Buffalo steaks in Sheridan
were both very good, along with all the other food provided for us.

I will preach in Rapid City this Sunday and Monday we will point the Motor
Home toward Plano, IL. We plan to arrive there about lunch time Wednesday
and be ready to begin a different speaker meeting there Wednesday evening
through Sunday. I will be speaking three times in this meeting. We will be
visiting Pekin IL the following Wednesday evening and then travel to Laws
Hill, MS to help in the meeting scheduled there with Bobby Holmes. We had
planed to be home sometime during the week of the Oct 9th, but now have a
meeting scheduled with the church in Athens, GA Oct 16 - 19. We should be
back in Florence, AL around Oct 21st. I will be available for appointment
preaching after that. I plan to begin arranging meetings and preaching
appointments for another trip out West next year as soon as we get home.

Well, so long for now, until next time.

Hello All,

Well here I am again, apologizing for not posting more than I have. To be
truthful, I just became so absorbed in the work we were doing that I simply
forgot about posting to this blog. That is, until John Shadowens, who was
on vacation in Yellowstone and visited the meeting in Blackfoot, ID said
something about not having any updates on the work we were doing. So, I
looked and saw that it has been almost two months since I last posted
anything. So, I will try to catch everyone up on what we have been doing
since July 9.

I preached in a short meeting in Medford, OR July 10-15. They could not
arrange to have the "Grange Hall" (community center) all week, so I preached
three times on Sunday, then Thursday and Friday evening. During the week a
lady responded to the invitation and ask for the prayers of the church on
her behalf, because she had not been as faithful as she should.

From Medford we went to Payette, ID. Payette is just across the Snake River
from Ontario, OR. This was the first time for us to be with the church
there. The meeting was just Sunday through Tuesday (July 17-19), but we
stayed and worshipped with them on Wednesday evening also. Ron Rasmussen
preaches for this small church and even though they are small they seem very
dedicated and Ron is doing a good work here. They have a unique opportunity
to reach some who are in a liberal church close by; because this liberal
church does not have Sunday evening services and some of the members attend
services in Payette on Sunday evening. Several were there the Sunday
evening of the meeting and some were present other nights during the
meeting. The members there in Payette have hope of being able to reach some
of these visitors with the Truth.

From Payette, we returned to Yakima, WA. Last year we formed some very
close bonds with many of the members of the church here. This was not a
full week meeting. I was scheduled to preach for them two Sundays July 24
and 31 and I also spoke on Wednesday evening. This church also meets for
Bible study on Thursday evening in the home of one of the families there.
We participated in this Bible study on the 21st, 28th and August 4th. I
spent some time with the young man who is doing the preaching for the church
here and was encouraged by the seeming spiritual growth in him since last
year. He indicated that he was not sure that he wanted to do full time
preaching work, but had committed himself to this work for a year or so.
There is a great potential in the work here in Yakima. We will probably go
back next year for a full week meeting.

While we were in the area I also preached for the church in Sunnyside, WA
where Steven Wallace serves as the local evangelist. This church is much
smaller than Yakima, but the members there are likewise strong and dedicated
to the cause of Christ.

Our next stop was Medicine Hat, Alberta, CA for a full week meeting August
14-19. Steve Willis is working with this small church. This church is
having a difficult time due to the age of some of the members and the work
schedules of some others. It is composed of one elderly couple, one single
man, a married man whose wife is not a Christian, a married lady whose
husband is not a Christian and Steve Willis and his wife, just seven people.
Steve and his wife Shirley both have some health issues and due to age the
elderly couple also has some health issues. Medicine Hat is a very large
city and much work needs to be done here, but Steve's health is such that he
is unable to do a lot of the work that needs to be done. While we were
there, Steve and I did some visiting in an effort to encourage some who were
unfaithful to come back to the Lord as well as trying to get some others
interested in studying the Bible.

From Medicine Hat we traveled on Saturday to Lethbridge and I preached for
them on Sunday. They have just been able to get back into their building
after having to do extensive repairs due to flooding last year, They had to
spend somewhere around $18,000 to get the building back in condition where
they could continue to meet in it. Mike Gray is doing a good work as the
local evangelist here. It is likely that we will be back there next year
for a full week meeting. This church has a number of folks who attend that
do not seem to be as dedicated spiritually as they ought to be and Mike and
others who are stronger spiritually are doing what they can to work on this
aspect of the work there.

As of this writing we are in Blackfoot, ID where we spent several weeks last
year. We are engaged in a full week meeting here (Aug 28-Sept 2). This
church has some strong dedicated people and Dave Matlock has been with them
about a year serving as the evangelist. Since last year they have lost
three young couples. One couple they lost was due to a work related move to
the Washington DC area. The other two couples simply quit attending and
efforts have been made and are still ongoing to work with them to return
them to faithfulness. One couple says they are attending another
congregation but will not say where. One middle age couple is in the
process of adopting three children, all siblings. And the children of
another middle age couple have moved here and are allowing their children to
be brought to the assemblies, but I understand that the children will not
attend. As you can see there is a great deal of work to be done here and
the potential for growth is great.

When we finish the work here in Blackfoot, we will go to Ranchester, WY
where I will preach Sunday Sept 4th and Wednesday the 7th. Then we will go
to Sheridan, WY for a four day meeting there Sept 11-14. From there we will
go to Rapid City, SD and worship with the brethren there Sunday the 18th and
then we are scheduled in Minooka, IL to participate in a different speaker
meeting there. I will speak on Wednesday evening and one time on Sunday.
From there we will visit Pekin, IL on Wednesday evening and then head to
Laws Hill, MS to help Bobby Holmes in a meeting there, and then do some
visiting in the Houston, MS area and from there back to Florence, AL.

I will try to remember to post again after the meeting in Sheridan.

Thanks for all the support I have received both materially and spiritually.
Many have given us much encouragement and are praying for us on a regular
basis. For all the support we have received we are truly grateful and
without it we could not do the work we are doing.

In Christian love,

Jerry L. Henderson

Hello Everyone,

Well, it has been too long since I last posted to this blog and a lot has
happened during that interval. I preached in Jasper, TX May 29 and we left
the next day on our way to our house in Florence, AL. On the way we stopped
by Houston, MS and visited with some friends there and, yes, I played a
little golf (just 9 holes). We arrived home in time to get ready for
Wednesday evening Bible study at East Florence. Dottie washed all the dirty
clothes and got our bags packed for my meeting in Shelbyville, TN with the
El Bethel church where Donnie Rader preaches.

Dottie and I enjoyed very much being in the home of Donnie and Joan Rader
during the meeting at El Bethel June 5 - 9. From my perspective the meeting
was well attended by the members as well as many visitors. This good church
has helped in my support for around seventeen years and we have come to love
and appreciate the Christians that make up this good church. While we were
there, the elders decided to increase my support, which brings me to almost
full support this year when all of the one time support is added in. It was
a joy to be with this church and I pray that good was done as a result of
the lessons presented during the week. After returning to our house in Florence, AL on June 10 we began to make
preparation for the second half of our work this year in the Pacific
Northwest. We were able to attend some meetings in the area, one at
Brookhill where our youngest son, Tim was preaching and then at Elgin Hills
where Donnie Rader was preaching. That Friday we drove to Chattanooga, TN
to meet our son, Jeff and his wife Tonya and bring their three children home
with us and then Sunday our son, Tim and his wife Anna brought their two
children and left them with us for a week. So we had five of our
grandchildren that week and Thursday our son, Dan and his wife JoBeth
brought their two youngest children and left them till we had to leave for
camp. During this time and the next week we were continuing to get ready
for the rest of our work in the Pacific Northwest as well as get ready to
work a week at Rustic Youth Camp June 26 through July 1. We survived
grandchildren and loading the Motor Home for camp and for another three
months on the road. We left Belgreen, AL (Rustic Youth Camp on Cedar Creek
Lake) Friday evening about 8 or 8:30 beginning the second part of our work
in the Northwest and our sons began their journey back home to continue
their work with the respective churches where they preach and all arrived
back home safely. Beth, our daughter continues her work at Belk's and
taking care of our house while we are away.

At this writing we are in an RV park in Medford, OR ready to begin preaching
in a meeting tomorrow (July 10). On our way here we worshiped with the
church in Malvern, AR Sunday morning then with the church in Alma, AR Sunday
evening. We stopped for Wednesday evening services with the church in Las
Vegas, NV. It was good to be with the church in Malvern again. I preached
in Malvern from 1978 - 1982. The church in Alma seems to be doing well,
Grady Rice is preaching for the church there. The Vegas Drive church in Las
Vegas seems to be doing well, they are about to begin building a new meeting
house. We are looking forward to being with the church in Medford again. If you
remember from last year the church in Medford meets in the Grange Hall (for
Southerners think Community Center). Dean Blackwell preaches for this
church. From here we will travel to Payette, ID and begin a meeting July
17, then on to Yakima, WA and work with the church there from July 24
through the 31. It will also be good to be with the brethren in Yakima
again. I have tentative dates to work with the church in Priest River, ID
August 7-14. From there we possibly will go to Medicine Hat, CA, then to
Blackfoot, ID for a meeting August 28 through Sept 2. It will be great to
be with this good church again. From there we will go back to Ranchester,
WY and Sheridan, WY and then point our RV back East. I will have more to
say about these scheduled works as time goes by,
Our RV continues to perform well and in fact, so far, has been
getting better gas mileage than last year. We have had some transmission
codes to show up on the Jeep, but thus far, when checked, it has not shown
anything serious and in fact the light went out before I could get it
checked again while in Florence. Thanks for all the support I receive from all the individuals and
churches, without which I could not do the work I am doing in the great
Pacific Northwest. For any who would like to see a financial statement, one
can be furnished either by email or by U. S. Mail, all you have to do is
ask.

Brotherly,

Jerry

Hello Everyone,

Well, I try to post something about every two weeks, but I think this is
about three weeks since my last post. Anyway we are now in Jasper, TX
parked in our son, Dan's driveway waiting on time for our twin grandchildren
to graduate from High School. We stayed about two weeks with the church in Green River, WY. (April 26-May
8). The meeting dates had to be hurriedly changed due to a
mis-communication regarding the schedule of Norman's and Dorothy's son
Dustin. They had some appointments in Salt Lake City that required them to
be away May the 8th. So, the meeting began May 1st and went through May
5th. Several were invited. I called and invited some from the church Norm
and his family had left due to error being taught and practiced. However,
none of those invited came to the services. The lessons I preached were
simply designed to help strengthen the members of the church there. The
Finch family seems to be strong and dedicated. Norman does the preaching
and his son Dustin leads the singing. They meet in Norman's and Dorothy's
house which has a large enough seating area to accommodate about twenty
folks. They use one of the bedrooms for a classroom for the three children.
Hopefully, in time they will be successful in reaching some others in Green
River. Norman has a brother that attends the church in Rock Springs that
they left and he wouldn't come to the meeting. It is sad that individuals
have so little concern for hearing lessons preached from the Bible and
determining what the Truth is.

After leaving Green River we traveled to Colorado Springs, CO and stayed
through Wednesday (11). We took a day and celebrated our anniversary and my
birthday by taking the Cog Railway up to the summit of Pike's Peak, quite a
ride! We had driven up to the summit about twenty years ago and I had
trouble with the altitude then and still did this time. Dottie's
cardiologist told her it would be alright, just to not exert herself while
in the high altitude. She actually made it better than I, because I tried
to walk around a lot and get pictures. It was just 17 degrees with a wind
chill of about 20 below zero. After we came down off of Pike's Peak we
retraced our route of 20 years ago through Phantom Canyon down to Royal
Gorge and then back to Colorado Springs. We attended Bible Study Wednesday
evening at the Northeast church there in Colorado Springs where Carl
Lungstrum serves as the local preacher. We enjoyed a good study of John
chapter 8 directed by brother Lungstrum. On Thursday we left on our way to
Mansfield, TX (Dallas area). We arrived there on Friday and enjoyed a good
meal with Bobby and JoAnn Holmes and three of their great-grandchildren.
Then we ate lunch with them on Saturday. I preached at the Northside church
in Mansfield where Tom Roberts serves and the local evangelist, both
services Sunday and we enjoyed a good meal with Tom and two of the ladies
from the church. Tom's wife was not feeling well and was unable to be at
services either morning or evening. Brother Holmes is filling in at the
church in McKinney, TX after the death of Jack Howard (the local preacher
there) a few weeks ago. Brother Holmes was present for the Sunday evening
services and it was good to be with him again. Brother Holmes did the same
kind of work we are doing back in 1998, 1999 and 2000 and is the one who
encouraged me to do this work and obtained a number of appointments for me
in the Pacific Northwest. He has been a continuous encouragement to me and
Dottie in this work.

I will be preaching here in Jasper, TX Sunday evening May 29 so our Dan and
JoBeth can take Ruth and Isaac to Austin for a band Contest that they will
play in on Monday. They will worship somewhere on the way Sunday evening.
We will leave here May 30 on our way back to Florence, AL to get ready for
my meeting with the Elbethel church in Shelbyville, TN where Donnie Rader
serves and the local preacher and also one of the elders of this good
church. After this meeting we have a couple of week off, but may be
preaching there in North Alabama those two Sundays. After working a week at
Rustic Youth Camp at Belgreen, AL we leave for Idaho to begin work again in
the Pacific Northwest. I will have more to say about this second half of
our trip in future Blogs.

Thanks to one and all of the ones who have provided financial support for
our work. Without which we could not do the work we are doing in the
Pacific Northwest.

Brotherly,

Jerry

Hello everyone,

It has been about two weeks since I posted anything and not a lot has
happened since then, except we changed locations in the state of Wyoming.
It was with not a little sadness that we left the brethren in Ranchester,
WY. Even though we had only been there for a month, we formed a close bond
with the folks there. The couple we visited and were trying to encourage to
become faithful in their service was there the last Sunday we were there.
They have not made a public acknowledgement of their lack of faithfulness,
but we hope they will and will remain faithful to the Lord. They could be a
great asset to the work there.

When we left Monday April 25 we stopped by Mack Cook's automotive service
shop and had the oil changed in the Motor Home as well as in the generator.
We stopped early Monday and spent the night in Casper, WY and then traveled
to Green River, WY on Tuesday. We had some light snow after we arrived
here, but not enough to cover the ground. We received a call from Jan Reich
in Ranchester enquiring about the safety of our family in Alabama after the
tornadoes and while talking to her she said they got three inches of snow
there. So, it is still Winter out here even though Thursday was a pretty
nice day. We were able to do some looking around the area here and saw some
wild horses.

We met with the church here for Bible Study on Wednesday evening. Norman
and Dorothy Finch, their son, his wife and their three children make up the
church here in Green River and they meet in Norman's and Dorothy's house.
They had just finished the study they had been engaged in and I printed the
book by Forrest D. Moyer titled "Things Most Surely Believed" and we began
the first lesson and they will continue with this study when we leave. This
is an excellent study dealing with some fundamentals and it is free to
download and print with questions on each chapter. I will be preaching for
them this Sunday morning and evening and then be preaching in a week-end
meeting the 6-8. I will primarily be encouraging and strengthening this
small group that meets here regularly. However, they are inviting others to
come and have given me some names of individuals to contact. Hopefully, we
can have a positive influence on some that will produce fruit, if not now,
possibly in the near future.

I will write more later.

Jerry

Hello Everyone,

I waited till after the meeting closed to post something about our work here
in Ranchester, WY. During the meeting we visited with several people. One
man we visited with has cancer in advanced stage and is not able to attend
services and his wife has to care for him. Another couple we visited with
who have not been faithful in attendance, did in fact attend services on
Sunday and went with others to the home of Bob and Jan Reich for the noon
meal. The wife was present again Sunday evening and Monday evening and said
she would be back Tuesday, but was not. She had told us she had to go back
to work on Wednesday evening, but we do not know why she was not back
Tuesday evening. I plan to try to visit with the husband this afternoon.
Another man I visited with has been attending services for a while but in
the past has been unfaithful for years. During our visit he indicated that
he needed to make things right with the Lord and that he intended to do
that. Well, last night he responded to the invitation confessing his
unfaithfulness and desiring the prayers of the Lord's people on his behalf.
I am sure there was rejoicing in heaven over this one sinner who came home.

We also visited with a man who used to be a part of the work here in
Ranchester, but left the work here and started a work in Sheridan where he
lives. He and brother Bob Reich had some differences, although as far as I
can determine, they were not doctrinal in nature. Their differences were
more in the realm of opinion or matters of judgment and there is not
animosity or hard feeling between the two. This man came to the meeting
with his wife and mother-in-law on Monday night and he came again on Tuesday
evening and led singing because brother Reich was unable to get home from
work in time to be at services. Brother Reich is a cattle buyer and he was
at a sale about five hours up into Montana and the sale was not over till
about 5pm so there was not way he could be back in time to be at the meeting
that night. I plan to visit with this brother in Sheridan again and see about the
possibility of the two groups joining together again as one congregation.
Brother Reich started this work in Ranchester around twenty years ago and
has in just recent years learned the truth about institutionalism and is
trying to take a stand against the innovations that have become a part of
the liberal groups with whom he use to worship. I suspect that the younger
man from Sheridan may have not been as patience as he might have needed to
be in the work here in Ranchester, plus he lives and works in Sheridan about
a 13 - 14 mile drive from Ranchester. However, brother Reich lives in
another small town (Dayton) West of Ranchester about 6 - 7 miles. So it
would be easier for the man in Sheridan to drive to Ranchester than for
brother Reich and his family to drive to Sheridan. I have said all this so
that you will understand that at this point I do not have a lot of hope of
getting the two groups together.

We will be here in Ranchester for this coming Sunday and the next (April 24)
and then the 25th we will leave for Green River, WY where I will be in a
weekend meeting May 6, 7 and 8. This is a small group (at this point, I
think it is just brother Norman Finch and his family) that had to leave the
work in Rock Springs due to the fact that some liberal minded men basically
took over that church. From there on our way to Jasper, TX we plan to stop
by and visit Bobby Holmes and worship with the church there and may preach
for them Sunday the 15th. I will preach in Jasper on May 29 and then we
will leave for Florence, AL to get ready for a meeting in Shelbyville, TN.

The other day I received a call from Tom Mitchell in Blackfoot, ID asking if
I would be able to come and hold a meeting for them. So, I am in the
process of trying to arrange my schedule so that we will be able to be there
sometime in July. I should have this part of our schedule worked out in the
next few weeks so I can post that.

I also need to let everyone know that I have received some more support.
The church in Mountain View, AR has agreed to provide $500 a month which
along with some other one time support we received has brought us close to
the full amount I believe we will need to complete our work this year, of
course depending on any support we may receive from churches we will be
working with out here in the Northwest. I am sure that at least one or two
will be able to provide some support but others will not. Thanks to all who
have helped to provide the support we need in this endeavor. I will be
sending out a regular monthly report around the first of May.

Well, I guess I have rambled on enough for now. Our work is going well and
so far have only had the minor problems with the RV I had noted earlier with
the refrigerator and gas furnace. However, the electric window control on
the driver's side rear door broke Tuesday and we have it scheduled to be
repaired Friday. This is a design flaw and we have already had to have one
repaired, which Chrysler paid for, but they said due to the age of the
vehicle they would only pay for that one, just another minor set-back. It
is our prayer that we will continue to have good success in our work with a
minimum of mechanical problems. We solicit your prayers as we continue our
work.

Yours in Christ,

Jerry L. Henderson

Hello everyone

We are now in Ranchester, WY. We arrived here yesterday evening (Monday)
about 4:30. We left Rapid City about 10:30 after I had changed the
windshield wipers on the RV and tramped in the snow unhooking everything,
then stopping for propane and to air up a low tire. The trip to Ranchester
from Rapid City was not as pleasant as we would have liked. We traveled in
heavy fog at times along with snow, freezing mist and wind (not real bad
wind, but enough to make driving unpleasant) However, the roads were not
slick, just wet most of the way. The sun did peep through the clouds a
short time as we got close to Ranchester. We ran out of snow cover on the
ground about halfway, then just before Sheridan, we began to see snow cover
on the ground again. They had gotten about four inches of snow on Sunday
night/Monday morning and it had started melting, so the RV Park had water
standing all around. This made it a little unpleasant to "hook up"
everything. By the way, we do have phone service here in this RV Park,
which we did not have in Rapid City, so feel free to call if you like.

Just before we got here, about halfway between Sheridan and Ranchester, we
received a call from Bob Reich, with whom I have been corresponding about
the work here, telling us we were eating supper with them (yes, it is
"supper" and not "dinner" here in the country). He came by the RV Park a
little after 6:00 and we followed him to his house. He lives out in the
country about 3 or 4 miles from the small town of Dayton (smaller than
Ranchester). We enjoyed a delicious meal with him, his wife and youngest
daughter, then visited until about 8:30 and came back to the RV ready for
bed because we were tired from the trip.

We are looking forward to the work here with great anticipation. They
(primarily Bob and his family) have done and are doing a lot of work in
advertising the meeting beginning April 10. Bob says there should be a
"good mix" of folks at the meeting, some who are not Christians and some
from an institutional church in Sheridan. We had planned to stay here
through the middle of May, but while we were in Rapid City, (out in town
where we had phone service) I received a call regarding the work in Green
River, WY. They want us to come and do some work with the church there.
This is a group of faithful Christians who had to leave the church in Rock
Springs, WY due to the influence of some liberal minded men who, it seems,
basically took over the work there in Rock Springs. At present these
faithful brethren are meeting in one of the member's homes. So, if plans
work out we will leave here about the first week of May and go to Green
River, WY for about a week. Then travel on the Jasper, TX to attend the
graduation ceremonies of Ruth and Isaac Henderson, our twin grandchildren.

From Jasper we will return to Florence, wash clothes and be ready go to
Shelbyville, TN where I am scheduled for a gospel meeting with the Elbethel
church. From there we will return to Florence and get ready to work at
Rustic Youth Camp after which we will be headed to Payette, ID for a week
meeting and then on the Yakima, WA. From Yakima our schedule is uncertain.
There are two other places that have ask us to come back, but nothing
definite is scheduled, so we will just wait and see. It will depend
somewhat on our receiving additional support. In regard to our support, we have received additional support since we left
home which enabled us to put the "advance" of six month's salary that the
East Florence church gave us into our savings account to be drawn on for
monthly support. In the next few days I will be sending out a detailed
account of my support and work thus far to the congregations and individuals
who have so graciously had fellowship with us in this work by providing
financial support. I have no way of sending a report to all those who have
expressed an interest in this work and are praying for us daily, because I
don't have addresses for everyone, in fact I am sure I don't even know all
of them. However, to those who follow us on this weblog please know that we
do appreciate all of the support we receive both financially and otherwise.
It is our prayer that the work we are doing will result in the salvation of
precious souls and that those Christians with whom we work will be
strengthened in their faith and their resolve to work diligently in the
Lord's vineyard.

After I send this I will probably think of something else I wanted to or
should have said. But for now, until next time we bid you farewell and ask
that you continue to pray for us as we labor for the Lord out in this part
of our great country.

Yours in Christ,

Jerry L. Henderson

Hello Again,

I always forget something I want to or should say and then think of it after
I send the post. That could be a sign of age or it might be a trait I have
always had, you can be the judge on that. Anyway, I should have included that all these plans are contingent on them
being God's will (James 4:15).

Also, I might add that it is cold here in South Dakota. Our water froze
last night while it was running a small stream. We still have fresh water
in the holding tank, so we are not without water. Hopefully, I can get the
water thawed out today.

Have a good day and may God bless you all.

Brotherly,

Jerry

Hello Everyone,

We are now in Rapid City, SD. We arrived here yesterday afternoon around 2
Mountain Time. We are in the Happy Holiday RV park just South of the city
on highway 16 and do not have cell phone service in the park. We do have
service in town and other parts of the city, but not here in the park. So,
you can leave a voice mail or send an email and we will get back to you, if
you need to contact us.

I preached for the church in Mustang, OK this past Sunday (3-20-11). They
are needing a preacher and we are considering the work there, it depends on
a number of things as to whether we decide to do located work again this
soon. One, of course, is support for the work we are doing in the Pacific
Northwest, which has been hard to raise this year. However, we have
received some more support after we left that I think will be sufficient for
our work at least through July and into August. I will give a detailed
report of the support we have received when I send out my reports the first
of April.

We worshipped with the church here in Rapid City last night and I will be
preaching here this Sunday. They told their preacher that it was time to
make a change and he did not want to leave. So, he has caused quite a
problem. He did leave, but he took some members with him and is trying to
start another work here in Rapid City. The city is certainly big enough for
two congregations, but the church here is not large enough to have enough
leave to start another work. And add to that the fact that this new work
will have started with hard feelings and accusations being made by Steve
Hamilton against the church here. I understand that he is accusing them now
of being unsound and has written letters to the church here to that effect
and maybe to other churches. I am not aware of the specific charges, but
from my observations and talking to some of the members here, they are as
sound as ever. Anyway, I will be trying to encourage them while we are
here.

We will be leaving Rapid City this coming Monday (3-28-11) making our way to
Ranchester, WY. The church there is trying to take a stand against
liberalism and is facing oppositon from the liberal churches in the area
that they formally had associations with. We will meet with them Wednesday
evening (3-30-11) and I will preach for them on the first Sunday in April
(4-3-11). I will begin a Sunday through Wednesday meeting with them April
10th and will continue working with them and preaching through the 15th of
May. On the 16th we plan to leave on our way to attend the graduation
ceremonies for our twin grandchildren (Ruth and Isaac) in Jasper, TX. I
will preach for the church there May 29th, and then we will head to
Shelbyville, TN to begin a meeting with the ElBethel church June 5th. We
will have a couple of week at home in Florence and work at Rustic Youth Camp
the last week of June and then we head to Payette, ID for a week meeting
July 10-15. From there we will go to Yakima, WA to work with the church
there and from there our plans are uncertain. I received an email from a
brother in Priest River, ID who wants us to come and do some work with the
small church there. Also the church in Medford, OR wanted us to come back
down there and the church in Medicine Hat, CA wants us to come back up
there. However, these trips will depend on whether I receive additional
support or not. There are a number of churches I sent request to that I
have not heard from, some I most likely will not hear from, but some may
respond by sending some support. I will have more to say about the last
half of our work here in the coming weeks and months, but this should
suffice for now.

Brotherly,

Jerry
